These important tips will keep your plants thriving for months to come!

Sunlight

Succulents love sunshine and need plenty of direct sunlight to keep their beautiful colours and compact form. An outside position is preferred but you can also keep your bowl inside near a window or somewhere it will receive plenty of natural light. Most succulents require either filtered sun all day or 3-4 hours of direct sun each day.

Watering

When it comes to watering your succulents: less is more. It’s possible to overwater your new house guest, so the rule of thumb is – only water when the soil’s completely dry. The stems and roots of succulents rot quickly in damp conditions so please don’t overwater. Generally, succulents require water no more than 1-2 times per week while the plants are actively growing. Water sparingly during winter and only if the leaves begin to wrinkle.

Maintenance

Over time, the lower leaves of your succulents will dry up. Gently remove any dead leaves which should pull away easily. Succulent bowls can survive without any fertilizer. Fertilizer will cause the plants to outgrow the bowl quickly.

Like any living thing – fresh air, love and water will keep your succulents thriving.
